The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers point to Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) tossing two-timing attorney Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) after discovering his plot with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

How does Cane find out about the covert deal? Would you believe that Michael’s wife Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) could be the one who snitches on him? We have mixed feelings about this possible scenario so let’s unpack what could happen next!

During the week of September 22-26, Lauren pressures Michael to tell her the truth about what he’s up to. She suspects that her hubby is working for Victor again. She has no proof but she has a gut feeling which is why she pushes him to spill the beans.

Michael promised Lauren that he would never work for Victor again, but he is acting exactly like he has in the past—like an agitated squirrel.

Lauren demands that he come clean and Michael knows his wife is not going to like what he’s been up to.

Michael Should Have Told the Truth
He folds under her questioning but that is a mistake. Michael confesses to working for Cane as an undercover operative for Victor. Lauren is a level-headed woman and understands this will go sideways eventually.

Sometimes the cure is worse than the poison and this is exactly the situation that Lauren finds herself in. It would be diasterous for Michael to proceed with his cockamamy plan, and yet putting an end to it also has consequences.

In the end Lauren picks the lesser of two evils and exposes Victor and Michael’s plan to Cane. Ruh roh.

Michael is in a Bind
Lauren doesn’t want Michael in prison but he could land there if he goes through with Cane’s AI software scheme.

Y&R spoilers hint that Lauren drops a bombshell for Michael’s sake. If she tells Cane about Michael’s treachery, will she risk ruining her marriage? Maybe she is ok with that if it keeps her husband out of prison stripes.
