Fans of EastEnders have seen Nigel’s battle with his dementia deteriorate in recent weeks with the Walford legend regularly getting frustrated and confused.

But his latest action could prove to be the biggest sign yet that his illness is rapidly deteriorating.

Having had a row with his wife Julie, Nigel opted to spend time away from her.

However, despite having his condition, he made the unfortunate mistake of getting behind the wheel of his classic car.

As Nigel started driving, his mobile began to ring and he quickly began to feel inside his pockets in order to get the device.

Julie could be seen making a call in the previous scene, leading to speculation that it was her who made the call to Nigel.

But amid the frantic nature of the phone call, Nigel appeared to panic.

Meanwhile, Gina and Jas were planning to head into town for a wild Monday night of partying.

Gina said to her pal: “What about the club at the container park?”

Jas cheekily quipped back: “The one with the fit bouncers?”

Then, Jas accidentally dropped her keys on the floor but as she went to pick them up off the ground, Nigel’s car came careering around the corner.

In a flash, Gina attempted to push her pal out of the way as Nigel’s car bumped into the both of them.

Nigel ended up crashing into the both of them as Gina and Jas appeared lifeless on the road.

As a perplexed Nigel looked on, Gina and Jas could be seen either side of the car motionless.

But just how much damage has Nigel done?

And will there be long-term consequences for Gina and Jas?
