Coronation Street stars Sally Carman-Duttine and Jonathan Howard, who play Abi and Carl on the ITV soap, have teased big twists in the Corriedale crossover fans won’t expect

Cast members Sally Carman-Duttine and Jonathan Howard spoke exclusively to The Mirror about the big twists ahead. As Corrie and Emmerdale collide in an hour-long crossover, characters face danger in a deadly stunt.

But amid spoilers and images, and even a trailer, teasing what we can expect, Sally, who plays’ Corrie’s Abi Franklin, has warned it won’t play out how viewers expect it to. She told us: “For sure, it’s not gonna go how anybody expects, but it is gonna be really engaging, really interesting and you are all gonna have a really good time.

“Get the popcorn and some snacks!” Sally added of the fallout: “There’s a possibility lives will be forever changed.” Amid drama for Abi and Carl, we asked the pair how their characters would feel if the other was injured.
