“We get to introduce two new junior doctors who are going to join the main cast,” he explained.

“A large part of the series is watching their progression as young people entering the NHS, and how senior doctors consult with them and guide them and help them – or maybe fail in that aspect. So, it’s going to be an interesting investigation into that.”

The likes of current characters Rash Masum and Nicole Piper were first introduced to the show as junior doctors, and viewers have watched the highs and lows of their developing careers in recent boxsets.

Casting of the two new members of the team has not yet been announced, but Milo Clarke, who plays paramedic Teddy, assured us that the actors are “both great additions” to the show.
