Coronation Street’s Vicky Myers shares ‘incredible’ personal update
Vicky Myers has reflected on an incredible 2025 for both her personal and professional life. The Coronation Street actress has been at the forefront of many of the soap’s biggest storylines this year as DC Lisa Swain. One of the storylines has kept viewers on their toes is the ongoing relationship with Carla Connor.
The actress’ on-screen counterpart is currently embroiled in a huge storyline which saw her ex Becky Swain return from the dead earlier this year. The aftermath of the unexpected arrival has been one of devastation for Carla Connor.
Since joining Coronation Street in 2021, Vicky has had a lot to celebrate. On Instagram last night, she showed her appreciated for fans as she wrote: “To be recognised and acknowledged in such a way in just twelve months, is absolutely incredible.
“This has been achieved because of the hard work, commitment and dedication of everyone at Coronation Street – those in front of, and behind the lens. But it is also largely down to YOU, the viewers who voted.”
The 49-year-old added: “Thank you for sharing your stories and your opinions. Thank you for your investment in Lisa,The Swains, The Connor-Swain’s and I guess, in me too.”
Vicky explained the support is “never expected” or taken for granted. She continued: “If you must review the year gone by for anything, look for the glimmers, the little wins, the failures that made you who you are, and the connections that snuck in like an unexpected hug from the universe. Look for the love. All of it.”

Fans shared their support for the TV star as they responded to the social media post. One account wrote: “What a year it’s been for you! Keep being the incredible person you are! An inspiration to many, we are so grateful to you.”
Another fan commented: “What a year it’s been Vicky. You absolutely shine and I can’t wait to follow along on the journey that is 2026. Sending you lots of love.”
Further replies included: “Happy new year Vicky! Hears to many awards to come for you in 2026” and “On screen, you had a brilliant 2025. May that continue for you in 2026.”
Inside Soap Awards 2025 was a huge success for Vicky and Coronation Street overall. Jack P Shepherd’s David Platt won best comic performance. Vicky Myers claimed the awards for best actress and best partnership along with Alison King’s Carla Connor.
When the onscreen couple of Lisa and Carla moved in together back in August, it marked a huge moment for the show.
