Bold & Beautiful Status Change Signals Big Plans for Ms. Dylan — and [Spoiler]
Apparently, Ms. Dylan has staying power. When The Bold and the Beautiful introduced the character over the summer as Hayes’ art-school teacher, we thought that she was just passing through. But then the show brought Sydney Bullock back this fall and revealed that — quelle coincidence! — her character was the one who ran over Luna, the ill-fated menace to society who’d once threatened her at gunpoint.
And now? The actress has been signed to a contract by the daytime drama, Soap Opera Digest reports. On the surface, the move is a curious twist since Dylan’s ties to the canvas are tenuous at best. Even pal Electra wanted to hasten her unhoused friend’s departure from beau Will’s guest room upon (rightly) sensing that the co-ed has a bit of a crush on the junior-varsity hunk.
But right over the horizon, a big storyline awaits — and a new love interest to boot. With Brayan Nicoletti replacing Joshua Hoffman as R.J., the Forrester heir is sure to catch Dylan’s eye. Or R.J. could make a play for Electra, to whom he isn’t blood-related (since dad Ridge is biologically a Marone, not a Forrester). Then we could wind up with a Dylan/Will/Electra/R.J. quadrangle — in essence, the Wyatt/Hope/Liam/Steffy storyline all over again.
Any way you slice it, though, Ms. Dylan is bound for the frontburner. Catch up on the latest Bold & Beautiful comings and goings in our updated photo gallery. And don’t miss the latest edition of Soaps’ Burning Questions.
