Bold and Beautiful 2026 Preview: RJ Returns, Carter Weds Daphne, Steffy Fears for Taylor and More!
After a rollicking roller coaster of a 2025 that saw Luna’s (Lisa Yamada) reign of terror finally end, multiple ex-spouses finding their way back to each other (and to the altar) and much more, Executive Producer/Head Writer Bradley Bell promised to keep the drama flowing in the new year. In a new interview with TV Insider, Bell previewed what’s coming next for the Forresters, their friends and their foes, including another dip into matrimony with “a wedding coming up in 2026.”
House Calls
Expect the new fashion house backed by Katie (Heather Tom) to challenge Forrester Creations both in the marketplace and on the home front. Calling it “very exciting” to have a new business rivalry to explore, Bell noted that while Katie is laser-focused on the success of her new venture, her big sister Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) is going to be decidedly less enthused — and this time, Bill (Don Diamont) will be firmly in his wife’s corner, not his sister-in-law’s. Bell explained that after his son Liam’s (Scott Clifton) health scare in 2025, Dollar Bill has undergone a transformation — instead of putting all his effort into ruling a corporate dynasty , he is now inspired to be a better man and patriarch. The war between Logan and FC will therefore see a unified Bill and Katie on the one side, and Brooke and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) on the other, and the story will affect a wide array of other characters, as well. “Everyone’s going to be wrapped up in it,” teased Bell.
Including Eric (John McCook), it stands to reason. Bell hinted that Forrester’s founder “is going to rebel” in the wake of Ridge essentially wanting to push him out of the family business and stated, “Eric is going to find a new avenue to channel his passion, which is design.”

Young at Heart
The show’s younger set will also take center stage in 2026 — and fortunately for them, dealing with Luna won’t be a part of it. Bell asserted in no uncertain terms, “Luna is dead.” However, that doesn’t mean that the romance of Will (Crew Morrow) and Electra (Laneya Grace) won’t be dealt a few obstacles, both due to their efforts to help out down-on-her-luck schoolteacher Dylan — played by Sydney Bullock, who has been put on contract — but due to the return of RJ Forrester, who has been recast with Brayan Nicoletti. Bell warned that once RJ is back in the picture, “we will have another Spencer/Forrester rivalry with Will and RJ.”
While it remains to be seen whether Will and Electra can go the distance, Daphne (Murielle Hilaire) will see her heart’s fondest wish fulfilled when she and perennial romantic also-ran Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) say, “I do.” Revealed Bell, “They’re going to get married and want to start a family right away.” He added that Carter and Daphne will also have a role to play in “some interesting, unforeseen plots that are unfolding” and that fans will see “a completely different side to Daphne” as the year progresses.
Three’s A Crowd
Bell promised that he has no plans to resurrect the long-running triangle between Taylor (Rebecca Budig), Ridge and Brooke, pointing out, “Ridge can only be in the middle of something without being too cruel for so long.” The scribe mused that he “wanted her to find a man who totally appreciates her for the knockout that she is” — but that man being Deacon (Sean Kanan) brings its own set of complications, given not only that he’s a married man but that is wife is the notorious Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown)! Bell indicated that Deacon has his heart set on reuniting his family, which is not likely to happen while he’s with Sheila. Not only that, but Deacon’s growing fondness for Taylor will give him very real reason to fear for the psychiatrist’s safety. To hear Bell tell it, it’s only a matter of time before Sheila finds out that there’s “a little heat” brewing between Dr. Hayes and her husband. He warned, “When she finds out, watch out.”
Sheila isn’t the only strong-willed woman likely to do whatever it takes to ensure that Taylor and Deacon do not become a genuine romantic item. Taylor’s daughter, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), knows better than almost anyone just how dangerous Sheila can be, and the last thing she will want is for her mom to take up with her nemesis’s spouse! Bell explained, “Steffy is really determined to protect her family and not allow Taylor to go down this path at all.”
Opposite this, though, Deacon’s kids, Hope (Annika Noelle) and Deke (Harrison Cone), are totally Team Taylor, given the fact that they do not like or trust their stepmother one little bit! Look for Hope and Deke to team up to try to get their dad to see the light about the woman he married — and forge a path with Taylor instead. Noted Bell, “And Steffy’s trying to get Taylor not to get involved, so it’s a family can of worms. Deke also has aspirations to design. He’s going to run into some roadblocks along the way.”
