BBC EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy shares ‘amazing’ change since leaving soap
EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy, who played Sonia Fowler in the BBC soap for 32 years, has shared her ‘lovely change’ since leaving the show earlier this year
The 42 year old actress, who initially joined the BBC One soap back in 1993, bid farewell to Walford earlier this year after three decades portraying Sonia Fowler on Albert Square.
Away from the cameras, Natalie enjoys a peaceful life in Hertfordshire alongside her partner Marc Humphreys, an EastEnders cameraman, and their daughter Joanie. She’s also mum to teenager Eliza from her previous engagement to Adam Cottrell.
Speaking exclusively to us on behalf of Sky Bingo about her festive arrangements and how Christmas feels without the demanding filming
“On Christmas Day I’ll be at home – there’ll be 10 of us. Boxing Day will be quieter, then more family over the following days. Christmas just rolls on for me, and I love being the host.”
When discussing her go-to Christmas television programmes, particularly those featuring ‘Hun moments’, Natalie revealed: “For me, it has to be The Vicar of Dibley Christmas dinners. I’ve already watched that episode twice this year.
“Dawn French as Geraldine is an incredible Hun. Looking at it now, she’s absolutely one of the biggest Huns of the 1990s – fun, warm, hilarious, and someone who wants to be everyone’s mate.”
