At Forrester, Ridge, Brooke and Carter explain to Steffy that Katie stole the name ‘Logan’ from them when their rights to the name expired. Brooke crabs that she barely recognizes her sister these days.
Brooke doesn’t want Katie using her name and has no idea why she even wants to. Really? It’s her name too! As the conversation continues, Brooke randomly declares that she’s sorry they had to let Deke go.

The group goes over Katie having no product and no plan. It takes more than a fancy office to run a company. Ridge can’t even understand why Brooke’s sister would marry Bill again. None of them can get their minds around Katie wanting to use the name Logan. Carter can’t believe she wasn’t more of a pushover. Ridge blames Bill for her digging in her heels. He grunts that they have a name that doesn’t belong to them (?!) and no fashion sense. “Good luck.”
Deke Down In the Dumps
At Il Giardino, Deacon eases Deke into his job as a waiter. Katie and Bill appear and Deacon chortles, “My in-laws!” before seating them. The newlyweds get right to discussing Brooke and showing Katie’s doubters how wrong they are.
Deacon and Deke talk mozzarella at the bar. Deke is proud of his dad, but the restaurant business is not his thing. He hopes someone will give him another shot in the fashion world. Coincidentally, Katie and Bill are mere feet away, discussing how she’ll crust the competition with her fashion house… once she has a designer.
Before long, Katie notices Deke filling water glasses and chirps that the solution to their problem may be right in front of them. Sending Bill to the bar with his plate, she invites the waiter to join her to go over his dismissal from Forrester.

At the bar, Deacon mocks Bill for ordering a club soda with lime. Dollar grumbles that he’s trying to change his ways. Deacon’s impressed that he got Katie back, and notes that he’s finally off the “Brooke train.”

Back at Katie’s table, Deke shares how much he loved his time at Forrester. But Thomas and Zende have seniority. With a glint in her eye, she urges him not to give up on his dreams… someday they just might come true.

The Final Scenes
At Il Giardino, Deacon confides in Bill that he’s thinking of expanding. Bill guesses he needs an investor… he’s impressed with the former con, and his pizza is the best in town. Deacon laments that Deke isn’t interested in anything but fashion. He doesn’t get the whole dressmaking thing. Bill doesn’t either… but that’s about to change thanks to Katie.
At Forrester, Ridge rants that you can’t be successful in fashion without soul… that leaves Bill out. He’s not an artist and neither is Katie. They have an idea and money, but no design team and no heart!

Back at Il Giardino, Deke thanks Katie for the pep talk. Katie relays that Bill gave her a fashion house as a wedding gift. Deke believes in her. She believes in him too. He has talent. “You might be just the person I’m looking for.”
