BREE STABBED — Hospital Horror! Cash & David Race To Catch Her Attacker | Home and Away Spoilers
Home and Away Spoiler: The Hunt for Bree’s Attacker Reaches a Breaking Point
Next week’s Home and Away will push Summer Bay into chaos as the race to find Bree’s attacker takes a shocking and emotional turn. After a brutal assault leaves Bree fighting for her life, Cash and David launch an urgent manhunt for the violent patient who escaped the hospital — and his trail leads straight to the Bay.
Bree’s ordeal begins when she and Joe are assigned to treat Bart, a volatile man suspected of being under the influence of drugs. During his initial assessment, Bart crosses a line by making an inappropriate advance toward Joe, then grows increasingly hostile. The situation spirals out of control so quickly that he must be sedated. But when Bree later returns alone to continue his treatment, Bart’s rage explodes again. Without warning, he lashes out and drives a pair of medical scissors into Bree’s side.
As Bree collapses to the floor, gasping for breath and bleeding heavily, panic fills the Northern Districts Hospital. Joe rushes to her aid, shouting for help as the medical team scrambles to save her. Levi races into the emergency bay and takes charge, instantly recognizing how grave the wound is — the scissors have punctured Bree’s lung, causing it to collapse and fill with blood. Despite the calm professionalism around her, Bree’s fear grows as she overhears Levi’s rapid assessment. She knows exactly what those medical terms mean — and how bad her situation really is. Levi orders the team to prepare for a chest drain, desperate to keep her alive.

Meanwhile, Sergeant David arrives to begin his investigation. Joe recounts the terrifying attack, explaining that Bart fled the hospital moments after stabbing Bree. Realizing how dangerous the suspect is, David wastes no time coordinating a manhunt. Posters are printed and distributed across the region, and even Alf pitches in by putting them up around Summer Bay. The community quickly rallies behind the search.
Elsewhere, Harper takes baby Archie out for a stroll when she spots a man staggering along the path — shirtless, wearing only joggers, and smeared with blood. Unaware that this is Bart, the fugitive attacker, she hesitantly calls out to check if he’s okay. His erratic behavior immediately unsettles her. By sheer luck, Tane happens to be nearby. Glancing at the wanted poster in his hand, he instantly recognizes Bart and senses the danger Harper and Archie are in.
Tane approaches carefully, speaking calmly to Bart while subtly signaling Harper to get Archie to safety. Pretending to ask for help delivering posters to the diner, he gives her the perfect excuse to walk away. Once Harper glances down and realizes whose face is printed on the sheet, horror strikes — she’s just been face-to-face with Bree’s attacker. She wastes no time calling Cash to report the sighting.
Within minutes, Cash and David are racing toward the beach. When they arrive, they spot Bart crouched by the water’s edge, frantically trying to scrub the blood from his hands as Tane keeps his distance. The second Bart sees the officers approaching, panic overwhelms him. With nowhere to run, he bolts straight into the sea, thrashing wildly as he tries to escape by swimming away. Cash and David exchange a knowing glance — there’s only one way this ends. With a nod from his superior, Cash dives into the water, stripping off his gear and swimming after the fugitive while David radios for backup.
Back at the hospital, the chaos momentarily eases. Levi and Joe manage to stabilize Bree after inserting the chest drain, but her condition remains fragile. They prepare to reinflate her lung, working swiftly to keep her stable. Just as they begin the delicate procedure, a commotion erupts at the front desk — Remy has arrived, distraught after learning from Eden about Bree’s attack. Desperate to see her, he shouts her name and tries to push past staff, but Levi intercepts him. Bree has made it clear that she doesn’t want to see her ex, and Levi stands firm despite Remy’s anger. Security is called as Levi orders Remy to leave the ward. Though furious, Remy ultimately backs down, storming out as Levi asks Eden to keep an eye on him.
Meanwhile, on Flat Beach, Cash catches up to Bart in the surf. After a tense struggle in the waves, he manages to drag the disoriented fugitive back to shore. David is waiting with handcuffs ready, immediately placing Bart under arrest. The officers decide to take him straight to the police station rather than risk bringing him back to the hospital — no one there, least of all Bree, should have to see him again.

As news of the arrest spreads through the Bay, emotions run high. Harper and Tane are shaken, realizing how close they came to danger. Alf and the locals breathe a sigh of relief, though the mood remains grim. Remy, however, channels his fury into reckless action. Learning that Bart is being held at the station, he storms in, barging behind the desk and demanding to see the man who hurt Bree. Cash firmly refuses, warning him to calm down before things get worse.
Later, David returns to Yabi Creek Hospital to speak with Bree. Though pale and weak, she insists on giving a statement about the attack, determined to help bring Bart to justice. But midway through her account, she suddenly gasps, her eyes glazing over as the monitors erupt with alarm. Her oxygen levels plummet, and Levi shouts for immediate assistance. The medical team rushes back into the room, surrounding Bree as they fight to stabilize her once again.
As the episode ends, tension fills the air. Bart may be in custody, but Bree’s fate still hangs by a thread. With her body weakened and her lung struggling to heal, her survival is uncertain. Will she pull through — or will Summer Bay be left mourning one of its own?
Stay tuned, because next week’s Home and Away promises heartbreak, heroism, and one of the most gripping hospital dramas the Bay has seen in years.
