Coronation Street’s Andy Whyment is married to wife Nicola away from the ITV soap and they are parents to two children

Coronation Street legend Andy Whyment had fans rallying around after he shared a sweet family post online.

Andy shot to fame when he joined the ITV soap in 2000 as Kirk Sutherland, brother of Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon). And it’s fair to say it didn’t take him long to become a firm favourite.

Famous for his one-liners and lovable personality, Kirk’s been involved in several big storylines during her stint on Coronation Street.

From his rollercoaster romance with Fiz Brown (Jennie McAlpine) to finding love with Beth Tinker (Lisa George) – which eventually ended – Kirk’s time in Weatherfield has not been short of drama.

Away from the soap, actor Andy is loved-up to wife Nicola, whom he married in 2007. The couple share two children together, son Thomas and daughter Hollie. And recently, Andy delighted fans after sharing a peek inside his family holiday.
