Coronation Street’s Jacob Roberts has delighted fans after sharing a video from his recent getaway with his girlfriend he met on the soap.
Jacob joined the ITV show in 2024 playing bent copper Kit; the estranged son of Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) – and it didn’t take him long to become involved in some drama.
From finding out he has a secret son, Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) to being left for dead after getting stabbed, Kit’s time in Weatherfield has not been short of drama.
The cobbles lothario has had his fair share of romances on the cobbles too, including a fling with Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) before finding love with Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien).

The pair confirmed their relationship back in October and have gone from strength to strength since. This week, they uploaded a video to their Instagram pages documenting their lush holiday abroad.
In the post, the smitten couple could be seen soaking up the sun and taking in the sights. The post was captioned: “The best end to the best year. HNY.”
And it didn’t take long for followers and fellow Corrie cast members to gush over the video. Georgia Taylor, who plays Toyah Habeeb, said: “You two!” Todd Grimshaw actor Gareth Pierce commented a sun and love heart eyes emoji.
Meanwhile, one fan penned: “You guys are literally the cutest.” Another added: “Lovely video.” A third chimed in: “Gorgeous! Happy New Year.” Someone else wrote: “Happy New Year to the cutest couple.”
It’s been a dramatic week on the cobbles for Jacob’s character Kit, as he has been determined to find out the truth about Carla Connor’s (Alison King) whereabouts. Fans will know that she was kidnapped by evil Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) and was being held hostage in a utility cupboard.
In Friday’s episode (January 2) Kit managed to find the flat where Becky was keeping Carla, but he got there too late as Carla was nowhere to be seen. Nonetheless, he found a strand of hair and quickly sent it to the lab, which later confirmed it did indeed belong to Carla.
