Young and Restless 2-Week Spoilers Dec 29-Jan 9: Victor Tormented by Ghosts – Matt Turns Dangerously Murderous!

Young and the Restless two-week spoilers for December 29th through January 9th expect Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) being haunted and Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) getting murderous.
Nick Newman’s Million-Dollar Offer and Matt Clark’s Violent Threats
On Monday, December 29th, we’ve got Matt and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) in an altercation at the Overlook that turns violent. Matt threatens to kill Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) but Nick offers Matt a cool million bucks to hand over Sienna and get out of Genoa City once and for all.
Matt tells Nick that Sienna is a serial cheater and also threatens Noah Newman (Lucas Adams), so Nick decides to beat on him. We know he loves to talk with his fists. Nick then threatens to toss Matt off the ledge, but Matt says if he dies, so will Sienna. Matt then threatens to throw himself over the edge and frame Nick, which we know he’s done before.
Matt eventually agrees to the million-dollar payoff while the dirty cop, Annie Stewart (Catherine Kresge),stands guard over a drugged and unconscious Sienna. Meanwhile, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) threatens Noah when he tries to leave to find Sienna. She’ll set security on him to stop him. Sharon thinks Noah is underestimating what a monster Matt is.

Young and Restless Spoilers: Noah Won’t Stop
Noah insists he loves Sienna and has to save her. Sharon starts prodding her son about Sienna breaking him and Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) up, but Noah gets mad and won’t comment. Matt tells Annie about the million-dollar offer from Nick.
But he’s still considering killing both Sienna and Noah because he just hates everybody. However, he would probably prefer the money to get out of Genoa City. Nick reports back to Sharon and Noah that Sienna is still alive and his plan is moving forward as hoped.
Phyllis Summers Doubles Down as Jack Abbott Rejects the Marchetti Deal
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) upsets Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) when she asks about Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) getting Marchetti. Billy says the deal is off because Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) can’t trust her. Phyllis says Jack’s plan is going to blow up and they’re going to crawl back to her. Billy suggests that Phyllis confess to stealing the AI and giving it to Victor to prove herself to Jack.
Instead, Phyllis doubles down on lying about all of it. She goes to see Jack anyway and starts making promises, but he doesn’t buy it. He says Phyllis is only out for herself as usual. Jack says the Marchetti deal is off and they don’t need her services, so she storms out. Billy shows up and tells Jack he still thinks Phyllis is their best bet, but Jack says he already rejected her offer.
He wonders if Billy wants to get his hands on the AI to use it instead of destroying it. Meanwhile, Phyllis calls Michael Baldwin (Christian Jules Leblanc) with a message about running an idea by him. Phyllis is desperate because Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) and Summer are on the verge of cutting her out of their lives for her increasingly sketchy behavior.
New Year’s Eve Dramas: Cane’s Bold Gesture and Sally’s Messy History with Adam
On Tuesday, December 30th, Michael gets a reward for his loyalty to Victor. He gifts Michael an antique Roman coin but he may still have an agenda. We all know Victor is usually playing chess three moves ahead of everybody else. Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) wants a date with Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin) for New Year’s Eve, but she will only agree if Holden meets her conditions.
That condition seems to be him giving Claire more dirt on Audra Charles. Of course, Holden shouldn’t do that because he is going to end up in trouble for killing somebody accidentally if Claire gets onto this. Meanwhile, she feels completely justified in continuing to try and destroy Audra. Additionally, Jack Abbott learns a secret from Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, December 31st, Cane tries to impress Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) with a bold gesture. Cane wants New Year’s Eve with Lily. We are on a countdown to Christel Khalil’s maternity leave exit, so I’m guessing Kane’s going to tick Lily off in a really big way, leading her to leave Genoa City for a while. Also, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) are back to discussing their messy history.
She already told Adam he’s turning into Victor Newman. I’m not sure why they’re rehashing their past, but honestly, anytime I get to see Sally with Adam, I love it. I miss them as a couple and ship them so hard. Elsewhere, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) is ready to explore things with Daniel and they end up in bed.

A Scrooge Rerun and Mariah’s Hallucinations of Ian Ward
On Thursday, January 1st, we’re going to ring in the New Year with a rerun of an episode from 15 years ago where Victor Newman was being a Scrooge. He got the “Christmas Carol” treatment on Young and the Restless with blasts from his past and was told to treat his family better. On that episode, Victor had an epiphany and acted better, but we all know those changes did not last.
Friday, January 2nd, is the first new Young and the Restless episode of the New Year. We’ve got Victor and Nick launching their plan to deal with Matt. Hopefully, they’re just going to whack him. Prison is one thing, but dead and gone works for me, although I do love Roger Howarth.
Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) is haunted by Ian Ward (Ray Wise) again. Mariah is not doing well, and her mental health is not improving. She is hallucinating her adoptive father, who also tried to marry her. She’s seeing Ian in the mirror this week, and it’s going to be a treat to see Ray Wise.
I always love his work, but it would be interesting if Ian showed up in the flesh since he is technically alive. Mariah still thinks it’s a hallucination. Tessa also gets a promise from Daniel Romalotti, suggesting she can count on him no matter what happens with her marriage.
Chelsea’s Resentment Grows on Young and the Restless
From January 5th through the 9th, Victor is distracted by working with Nick and focusing on taking down Matt to protect the Newmans. He may have a blind spot where Nikki, Phyllis, and Michael can slip in and try to get the AI away from him. Jack and Billy are optimistic that one of Jack’s backup plans may work, with no idea that Phyllis is still in the game and determined to get Marchetti for Summer.
Adam has to deal with Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) growing resentment over Victor’s influence on both him and her. She doesn’t want to be at Newman Media anymore. They are running dirty, unsubstantiated hit pieces. The one about Jabot and Jack Abbott was particularly nasty, and that seemed to be the tipping point for her. Chelsea was willing to let it go when the stories about Billy were mean but accurate, but this latest one wasn’t even true.
Sally Spectra Settles in at Abbottcom
Sally Spectra, meanwhile, is thrilled to step into the New Year as CEO of Abbottcom. She’s ready to face new challenges and is hoping to talk Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) into hiring Audra. However, Billy is still a source of anxiety because Sally’s not sure if she can trust him to stick to the path he’s on. He’s a gambler by nature.
It was interesting the other day when Sally and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) were talking about Sally’s “daddy issues” and how her dad was a gambler. Basically, Billy is the same kind of person she’s trying to save. I did enjoy getting a little more glimpse into her backstory.
Claire pressures Holden to get more dirt on Audra. Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen) may work with Victor and Nick on the Matt issue. Burrow wants to take down dirty cop Annie Stewart (Catherine Kresge) and shut down Matt once and for all.
I’m hoping that Burrow is going to transfer to the GCPD when all is said and done. You guys aren’t getting to see a lot of Matt Cohen on Young and the Restless, but not only is he a hunk, he’s such a good actor, so I really hope he sticks around. Meanwhile, Noah’s anxiety over Sienna’s fate may lead him to take drastic action that puts himself and others in danger.
